How does red light therapy work?

Red light therapy (photobiomodulation) uses specific wavelengths of light — 660nm and 850nm — to penetrate tissue and stimulate cellular energy production. At a cellular level, light is absorbed by mitochondria, increasing ATP production, reducing oxidative stress, and triggering a cascade of repair and recovery processes. This is backed by over 4,000 peer-reviewed studies.

What wavelengths does the RecoverForge Pro Panel use?

The RecoverForge Pro Panel uses 660nm (red light) and 850nm (near-infrared). These are the two most clinically researched wavelengths. 660nm targets surface tissue, inflammation, and skin repair. 850nm penetrates 2–7cm deep into muscle, tendon, and joint tissue — this is the workhorse wavelength for deep-tissue recovery.

How long should each session be?

Start with 10 minutes per target area and work up to 20 minutes. The built-in timer makes it easy. Position yourself 10–20cm from the panel. Most users do one or two sessions per day. Consistency matters more than session length — daily use for 2–4 weeks produces the most noticeable results.

Is red light therapy safe?

Yes. Red light therapy is non-invasive, drug-free, and has an excellent safety profile in the clinical literature. Do not look directly into the LEDs (use the included goggles). Do not use if you are taking photosensitive medications. Consult your doctor if you have any concerns or pre-existing conditions. Not for use over active cancer sites.

When will I see results?

Most users report noticeable changes within 7–14 days of consistent daily use. Acute muscle soreness often improves in the first few sessions. Chronic pain conditions (shoulder, back, knees) typically take 2–4 weeks of daily use. Sleep improvements are often reported within the first week.

Yes — for all three. The 850nm wavelength penetrates deep enough to reach muscle and joint tissue in all these areas. Back pain (especially lower back) and shoulder pain are the most common use cases. Knee pain (including from arthritis) also responds well. The key is positioning the panel correctly and using it consistently.

Can I use it every day?

Yes. Daily use is recommended for best results. Most users do a 10–20 minute session per day, either in the morning or evening. There's no evidence of harm from daily use at recommended distances and durations.
